Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and  the Durham West Girls Hockey Association has been involved in raising awareness of Breast Cancer over the past 10 years. Many teams have promoted this awareness by playing a “Pink Game” wearing the Durham West Pink Jerseys and Socks .

Many teams have also donated their time and efforts to raising money by having bake sales 50/50 draws and collecting donations to submit to  the “Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation” which has now been merged with the “Canadian Cancer Society’.

This year’s Durham West Executive would like teams to build on the past efforts of teams, coaches, and the Durham West Family to make this year’s Breast Cancer Month the Best yet!
