Announcing our U11DS Coaching Staff for 2025–26
Durham West is excited to announce the U11 Development Stream (DS) Coaching Staff for the 2025–26 season! This year, we’re proud to welcome a true Durham West legacy team — a father-and-daughter trio who have long been part of our Lightning family.
John, Jordan, and Peyton Haywood have been involved with Durham West since 2012. Both Jordan and Peyton grew up in the Lightning program, playing their entire minor hockey careers with Durham West and competing at the highest levels — always supported by their dad and Head Coach, John Haywood.
Many of you will recognize John from his work as Director of Ice. Over the years he has dedicated countless volunteer hours to the organization and achieved his High Performance coaching certification in 2021.
Now the Haywood trio is coming together to lead and develop our U11DS girls for this season. We are thrilled to have them continue their journey with Durham West and can't wait to see the growth and success this season brings!
