Our U9A Durham West team recently demonstrated that their heart and teamwork shine just as brightly off the ice as they do on it by volunteering at the St. Paul on-the-Hill Community Food Bank!
The St. Paul on-the-Hill Food Bank is a vital local organization that helps support families in need by providing essential food, supplies, and care within our community.
The players and their families stepped up in an amazing way - arriving with generous donations of non-perishables and then rolling up their sleeves to help. The girls spent the evening sorting, organizing, and preparing items for distribution, showing responsibility, compassion, and an incredible team spirit from start to finish.
In addition to their work at the food bank, the girls continued to spread Christmas cheer at their team holiday party by putting together special gift boxes for The Super Sophia Project. Their thoughtful contributions will help bring comfort, joy, and smiles to children spending time in local hospitals during the holiday season.
