Durham West Girls Hockey

We are excited to welcome 56 teams from across Canada and the United States. This year we have named our pools after esteemed Durham West Alumni. This includes Natalie Spooner, Tara Watchorn, Saroya Tinker, Jennifer Wakefield, Kennedy Marchment, Alex Law, Jessie Pellerin, and Madeline Palumbo. Congratulations to our U15AA team for winning the Silver Championship in this year's Stoney Creek Showcase Tournament! They capped of a 5-0-1 weekend with a thrilling 1-0 win in a shootout against Nepean in the final.  Great job girls - Let's Go Lightning!!

Congratulations to our U11BB team for winning Silver in this year's Markham Starsfest Tournament.  The team finished the tournament with a record of 3-1-2 and came away with a medal after a tough 2-1 loss to Leaside in the final game. Way to start the season girls - Let's Go Lightning!!

Big congratulations to our U18A team for defending their title for a second time at the 2025 Markham Starsfest Tournament and bringing home Gold for the 3rd year in a row!!! They completed the weekend 7-0 after defeating East Ottawa 2-0 in the championship game. Amazing start to the season girls!  Let's Go Lightning!
